April 2021 Food Drive

By Lisa Hoeme, 03/29/21, 10:45AM CDT

It's already been a year since our last food drive. Please consider donating again this year. Additional details below, and once again thanks to Chris McLaughlin and his former club, Cumbernauld Colts Football Club, for providing us the impetus for launching this:

McFarland Soccer Club believes it is our obligation to not just be a organization devoted to providing opportunities to play soccer, but to also be an entity that is committed to the larger well being of our McFarland community. To that end, McFarland SC announces our Spring Food Drive to benefit the McFarland Food Pantry. Here's how it will work:

If interested in donating non-perishable items to the McFarland Food Pantry simply email Andy Witt at or text him at 608-512-8767, and provide your address and where you will place your items for pickup (e.g., front porch). Items must be placed out by noon on W Apr 7th. Your items will then be picked up no later than 3pm on W the 8th and delivered to the Food Pantry.

If you would rather donate money please feel free to click on this link: and the McFarland Food Pantry's website will provide you with instructions. Or, go to their Facebook page to make donations using Venmo/Paypal.

For help in determining what types of items to donate, here's a list of items that the Pantry is in need of:

Canned vegetables, including ‘mixed vegetables’

Canned pasta with and without meat

Pasta (macaroni, egg noodles, ramen noodles)

Spaghetti sauce (with and without meat)

Canned meat - (tuna, chicken, spam)

Paper towels

Laundry soap (64 oz is a great size)

The Food Pantry will also gladly accept gift cards to either Pick n Save or Kwik Trip for $20 or less which would give households the opportunity to purchase what they need (for example, the Food Pantry is running low on meat).

Be well, and thank you!
