Hello MSC Parents and Players,

Just like the overwhelming majority of our community, we want all kids to have the opportunity to practice and play as much of the season as possible. In light of those goals we need to take a moment to remind everyone of the club’s COVID-19 protocols, which are informed by the CDC and Public Health.

Please read this email carefully as it contains information and requirements that pertain to the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines and will ensure that everyone can participate as much as possible.

At this time, mask wearing continues to be a family choice while playing and on the fields.  Due to the Dane County Face Covering Mandate, players should bring a mask to practice and games to use if they need to enter any buildings.

Participation in Play:

Soccer is considered a close-contact sport.  Should there be a positive case on your child’s team, the club, in conjunction with the coach and through review of current guidelines will determine if other players on the team are considered close-contacts.  If someone is determined to be a close-contact the current quarantine guidelines must be followed.  MSC may determine it is necessary to suspend play of an entire team for a period of time when positive cases are present.

Failure to follow these guidelines, or providing the club with misinformation about these cases, may result in a temporary or permanent suspension from participation in MSC activities.

Positive cases:

Players may not return to play for at least 10 days since symptom onset, symptoms are improving, and at least 24 hours fever free without fever reducing medication

Close Contacts-Unvaccinated Individuals:

Option 1:

  • Monitor your symptoms for 14 days after your last exposure to COVID-19

  • Stay home from school, work, and other activities and get tested as soon as possible if you develop symptoms. If positive, follow isolation guidance for people who test positive; if negative, continue quarantining.

It is safest if you quarantine for 14 days after your last exposure. No test is required to end quarantine.

Option 2:

  • Quarantine for 10 days after your last exposure. No test is required to end quarantine. Monitor yourself for symptoms until 14 days after your last exposure.

You must have your negative test result before ending quarantine and the test cannot be before day 6. Monitor yourself for symptoms until 14 days after your last exposure.

Families that choose this option will be required to provide a copy of the negative test result to
