REGISTRATION BASICS

Open Registration is held every spring (usually the first week in May) at the Village Hall during the week and on Saturdays at the Hockey Rink. Parents of all new and returning players must attend one of the open registration sessions.  All registered players are assigned to a soccer team that they will play with for the next season.  A soccer season is split into two halves, the fall and the spring, and follows the school calendar.

TEAM PLACEMENT

Children are placed on soccer teams based on the grade they will be attending in the fall.  The capital "U" when used to refer to youth team groups stands for "under".  For example: U-9 is a group of teams with kids under the age of 9 years old.

Children can play up a level.  For example, if you have a child entering 3rd grade and another in 4th grade and you would like them both to be on the same team, they could both play at the U-10 level - which would mean the 3rd grader would be playing at the 4th grade level.

TEAM TYPES

There are two types of teams in the youth soccer program.  They are the In-House teams and the Traveling teams.

The In-House teams are made up of kids in kindergarten through 2nd grade.  They are the U7 (Kindergarten & 1st grade) and U8 teams (primarily 2nd grade).

The Traveling teams are made up of kids from 3rd grade through 8th grade and they are in the U9 and up teams:

U-9   = 3rd grade
U-10 = 4th grade
U-11 = 5th grade
U-12 = 6th grade
U-13 = 7th grade
U-14 = 8th grade
